An intention is an aim that guides action. As we move into the holidays, and into a new year, what is it that you are aiming for? More peace? More ease? More joy? Come join us in creating collage cards that will solidify your intentions, and be tangible guides as you decide what actions to take (or not to take). Don’t worry, this process doesn’t require any artistic skills! However, please register, as seats are limited. This event is perfect for guests ages 16 and up.

Creativity Coach Theresa Kim returns with a new program, Map It Out, on Wednesday, October 25th at 6pm. Theresa invites you to learn techniques to make a beautiful map of something in your life - your favorite things, places, or people, the past, your brain, an imaginary world... the sky is the limit! Theresa will start you off with some very straightforward directions and ideas, and give you as much or as little guidance as you need. Where you take it from there is up to you! Absolutely no previous experience required. Supplies are free but space is limited, preregister! For adults and older teens.
Ink flowing freely on smooth paper requires letting go and allowing yourself to get swept up by the wonder. Theresa will guide the process as you get your mind quiet and sink into the ease of this art-form. Bring a lunch along, and we’ll use the time that we’re waiting for the ink to dry to enjoy conversation and sharing thoughts about the experience. Absolutely no artistic skills are required.

No art skills are required — this event is about reflection and creating an extraordinary life. Please register, as seats are limited. This event is perfect for guests ages 16 and up.
What do you want more of in life? What do you crave but don’t create? Come spend some time focusing on those things, and then create a card deck (made from actual playing cards) as a visual reminder to keep you living with intention. Absolutely no creative experience or skill needed.
Open to public.

Join me at the Monona Library for this free etegami workshop. Here's what they are saying:
Artist and creativity coach Theresa Kim presents the “new” traditional artform ofhand painted drawings joined with meditative thoughts. Learn about this stress-relieving practice and then try it out! Don't worry about your artistic skills; the first rule of etegami is not only is it alright to be clumsy, it's GOOD to be clumsy! A Japanesestyle of painting that translates "picture letter," etegami makes you slow down and release expectations. The power of etegami is connecting to stillness, connecting to your inner calm and connecting to others all in one effort. Free & supplies provided, but space for this unique program is very limited. For adults /older teens.
Registration starts Jan. 29 and is required. Head here to learn more or sign up.

This is the first in a four part series at DreamBank. The series is Connection and Intention through creating. Etegami is a form of Japanese art that uses simple images made with the brush held in such an unusual and clumsy way, that the idea of talent and perfection has to be tossed out the window. A simple phrase is added. The tradition is that the finished art is given to someone else.
No art skills are required - this even is about reflection and creating an extraordinary life. No, seriously.
Go here to sign up. It bugs me when I read things like this, but spaces actually really are limited. This is a free gig - they will fill up.
